Coaches
Patrick Zanelotti

Coach Zanelotti has been coaching high school and club lacrosse in Washington Metro area for the last 6 seasons with VLC and Paul VI Catholic HS. Over that time over 30 of his players have gone on to play college lacrosse at DI, II, and III levels with numerous All State, All-Met, and All-American honorees. Coach Z was the associate head coach for Paul VI during their runs to the WCAC championship games in 2013 & 2015 and VISAA championship game in 2013. Coach Z is a 2008 graduate of VMI where he was a 4-year starter as defender and LSM. He was named to 2008 MAAC All-Tournament Team and elected team captain. Coach Z commissioned in the Army upon graduation and deployed as Platoon Leader supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He has a BA in International Studies and an MBA with a concentration in corporate strategy.
Matt Bukovac

Matt Bukovac joined the VLC coaching staff in the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach for the 2023 team, and serves as a goaltending positional coach for the program. Matt was a US Lacrosse All – American and Dulles District player of the year in 2011 at Briar Woods High School. He went on to play at Division I Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he earned NEC All – Rookie honors as well as being named a captain his senior year.
Connor Murphy

Connor Murphy joined the VLC coaching staff in the summer of 2021 as an assistant coach for the 2023 team. Connor was a US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All WCAC, First Team All VISAA and a First Team All-Met player at Paul VI Catholic High School. Connor also played on VLC’s 2013 team. He went on to play Attack and Midfield at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where he earned the BIG Sportsmanship Award and Scholar All - American honors."
