Practice Schedule

Spring practices begin March 6 and will be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Additional practices in Fairfax &/or Loudoun County will be added.

Fridays at 8:00--9:00 -- 3/7, 3/14 & 3/21, GMU #3
Fridays at 7:00--8:00 -- 3/28 through 5/15, GMU #5

Tournament Schedule

VLC Youth teams will compete in the spring Greater Howard Club Lacrosse Conference (HoCo). Games begin March 23 for 2032 teams.

Coaches

Steven Brooks

SBrooks
Steven Brooks is a Libertyville, Illinois native and was an All-American & IL State player of the year at Libertyville High School. Brooks played college lacrosse at Syracuse University. He won two Division I National Championships while with the Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse in 2004 & 2008. Brooks earned first-team All-American and also won the McLaughlin Award as the nation's best midfielder in 2008. He had a successful 12 year Professional Lacrosse career, winning two MLL Pro titles, 3x All-Star, 2yr Captain, and was a nominee in 2018 for the Dave Huntley Man of the Year Award. Brooks played in the first ever season of the PLL as a member of the Atlas Lacrosse Club before announcing his retirement in 2019. In January 2020, Brooks was named assistant coach of the Atlas LC (PLL) in the professional lacrosse league PLL. He is the first ever PLL player turned coach in the league's history. In October 2023, Brooks was named the interim head coach of the PLL Atlas.

TJ Summers

TJ is originally from San Diego, CA where he grew up playing lacrosse and attended Westview High School. His senior year of high school he earned both US Lacrosse All-American as well as Academic All-American honors. He then earned a scholarship to play Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Hartford where he received academic honor roll during every season. He recently finished up a one year stint in England in which he earned his Master's degree and played lacrosse at the University of Nottingham, where he led the country in goals, assists, and points. TJ has been involved in coaching for over 8 years and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with the 2032 group.

Ryan Young

Playing Career:
Christopher Newport University (2024) - Served as a 4 year member and 2 time team captain. Multiple time all conference, all american, and scholar all american. 2023 USILA National Defenseman of the Year. 2023 Coastal Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Briar Woods HS (2019) - Served as a 4 year varsity member and 2 time team captain. Multiple time all conference, all region, and all state. 2019 VHSL 5A State Player of the Year. 2018 VHSL 5A Defensive Player of the Year.
Coaching Career:
Cavalier / Virginia Lacrosse Club (2018-Present) - Served as a coach every summer. Experience coaching / mentoring players ranging from kindergarten to high school. Experience running individual / small group sessions, week long camps, and entire team practices.

Will Swift

Current High School Senior Attackmen/Midfielder, committed to play lacrosse at D3 Muskingum University.
